Calla knows her future, she understands her present and her past.  She is the alpha of her wolf pack.  A strong willed, independent soul.  Her world is suddenly changed when she saves the life of a boy  (Shay).  A boy that does not belong to her world.  Her past, present and future is shaken and stirred by a series of situations that evolved around her.

She questions her past and her place in this world.  She falls for Shay without even knowing it.  Oh! sweet and funny Shay.  Ren Bane the other Alpha leader will tempt her and maybe win her heart.

My opinion

I can honestly say this is the best book I have ever read.  So much that it kept me reading even at work.  Yes I know, I was supposed to be working.  I was happy I found this series just before the second book Wolfsbane came out.  Fortunately for me the wait was not as long and desperate as other readers.  Andrea Cremer is a genius.  She has created a fantasy world that truly feels real.

My books have lived on and I have passed them on to Twilight fans that have sworn they would never fall for another series.  I am happy to say are now as obsessed as I am with the series.

I will bite my nails and stress out until January 24, 2012.  Yes!! I am counting the days.

I give this book five hearts.  It was exciting, interesting and well written.
