Taking Chances by Molly McAdams Book Review & Giveaway

Taking Chances by Molly McAdams Review & Giveaway

Eighteen year old Harper has grown up under her career Marine of a father's thumb. Ready to live life her own way and experience things she's only ever heard of from the jarheads in her father's unit; she's on her way to college at San Diego State University.

Thanks to her new roommate, Harper is introduced to a world of parties, gorgeous guys, family and emotions. Some she wasn't expecting yet, and others she never knew she was missing.

She finds herself being torn in two as she quickly falls in love with her boyfriend Brandon, and her roommate's brother Chase. Covered in tattoos, known for fighting in the Underground and ridiculously muscled...they're exactly what she was always warned to stay away from, but just what she needs. Despite their dangerous looks and histories, both adore and would do anything for Harper, including stepping back if it means she's happy.

My Summary

Harper is the sweetest girl ever, she is naïve, extremely innocent and new to the world. Growing up on a military base surrounded by marines and being raised by one she was sheltered and withdrawn from the outside world.

As soon as she moves away and starts college she becomes close to her roommate and finally starts living finding who she really is.  Shortly after starting school she feels attracted to Brandon (MMA Fighter HOT as hell) and Chase (tatted up bad boy hottie) simply the best of both worlds.  Things start getting complicated and soon she will be forced to make a decision before things get out of hand.  Can you blame the poor girl?

My thoughts

This book has completely and absolutely consumed me in a way that I just could not put it down, the story is simply amazing. Molly is and independent author and this is her first book.

I was lucky enough to see a post about it on Facebook and immediately headed over to Amazon and Goodreads.  The reviews on both sites made up my mind.  Readers are raving about this one.

After a sleepless night I had to tell the world and the author how much I appreciated this story. So you might have seen my ramblings at 2 am last night on Facebook and Twitter.  This book made me fall in love, want to kill someone, laugh, cry and sob uncontrollably and then I ached for Harper in a way I had never felt for a story.

It is simply amazing!  If Beautiful Disaster and Thoughtless had a baby this would be it.  I don’t know if you know about these books but they top my fave list and know Taking Chances is up there along with them.

I don’t want to spoil the story for you but please read this book and support the author by sharing your thoughts.  I wanted to give the gift of reading so I will be giving a way and ecopy of the book.  The ecopy can be either for Kindle or Nook.

Meet the Author

Molly McAdams grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband and furry daughter. Her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling and long walks on the beach…which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. When she’s not at work, she can be found hiding out in her bedroom surrounded by her laptop, cell, Kindle and fighting over the TV remote. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies, fried pickles and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm...or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.

  1. I would help an independent author by posting information about their book on blogs, twitter and facebook, and by doing reviews!

    1. I feel the same way this book is AMAZING. The story is so real you feel like you know these characters and need to tell the world about it. Today I am giving moral support to two of my friends who just finished the book and we have all cried and laughed like silly people. I absolutely love her writing style and she just announced she will be doing a Chase point of view version.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts on the book.
