The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa Review

The Lost Prince (The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten #1) by Julie Kagawa Book Review

Don't look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them. That is Ethan Chase's unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he'd dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister's world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.

My Summary

If you read the Iron Fey Series by the author you already know the main character on this story.  Ethan Chase, Meghan's little brother is all grown up.  Scarred by his brush with the fey earlier in his life, he can't seem to be free of them and somehow they know he can see them making it all the more difficult to live a normal life.

In this installment we find Ethan trying to remain anonymous in life staying far away from others focusing only on his martial art classes (Kali).  He feels like a threat to those who get close and because of it he tries to remain distant and not have friends whom might get killed or involved with the fey in the long run.

His plan to stay away from those around him are shattered as soon as he meets Kenzie, the school newspaper reporter who seems captivated by him from day one.  To make things worse Ethan has broken his rules by helping a half blood named Todd escape from bully fairies at school.

After this everything goes down hill when something kidnaps Todd and comes after Ethan and Kenzie.

My thoughts

So now I understand all those tweets about fighting with sticks from Julie  (the author).  She was researching for this story which is AMAZING!

I was afraid at first that I would still see Ethan as a toddler but after reading into the story I was blown away.  Not only we see a mature kick ass Ethan but he is both dark and intriguing making you forget last time we read about him he was just a kid.

He is not a kid anymore let me tell you this story will make you crave more about him.  I absolutely loved this story and can't wait to find out what happens next.

I didn't want to add to much in my summary but let me tell you guys there are a few new characters in this story line my favorite so far is Kierran.  Lookout for this one because if you loved Prince Ash from the previous books you will fall head over heals for him as well.  It is just simply inevitable to feel for this new amazing character.

I give this book 5 out of 5 hearts
Thanks to Julie Kagawa for making an amazing story that will simply makes us want more....
