The Story…

Ryder and Maddie have been best friends forever.   Their complete opposites being that Maddie is a good student, good daughter and well mannered young woman but Ryder is an accident waiting to happen.  This bad boy covered in tattoos has nothing to lose or does he?  Even thought they have been really good friends Maddie wasn’t blind to Ryder’s charms, she has always been in love with him but would never act on it if her life depended.

Our girl Maddie has been dating Ben who is her boyfriend.  Ben has been pushing Maddie to have sex but she is simply not ready.  When Ben loses his cool during a drunken episode our boy Rule comes to the rescue. 

Shaken and stirred by what occurs Ryder decides to stay with Maddie and her roommate for a few days.  As soon as Ryder moves in line begin to blur and feelings that had long been kept in check begin to take a life of their own.

My thoughts…

This story completely took me by surprise.  I was completely blown away by how amazing the characters slowly developed and I could see their relationship transforming as I turned the pages. Ryder is a complete Alpha Male and I loved that about him. When the unexpected twist occurs it’s amazing how fast he becomes a provider and protector of our girl. 

Maddie also  grows as the story progresses but she struggles with insecurities that clearly most girls her age experience.  I can only say that I strongly recommend this story for “New Adult” fans and that you won’t be disappointed.

I give this story 5 out of 5 Hearts

Reading has always been my first passion. That turned into a love for writing at a young age. I wrote my first book when I was a teenager and haven't stopped since. "Promise Me Darkness" is the first book I have publicly published.

I'm a native Texan who still lives in the town where I was born. I live with my husband and two children. If I'm not reading or writing, I'm chasing my kids around and trying to maintain my sanity with a teenager and preschooler.
