First it was the Twilight franchise taking over the world. Now it's the The Hunger Games and in a very near future the world won't be ready for the release adaptation of The Mortal Instruments.
Lily Collins is already set to play teenager Clary Fray, who learns that she is a descendent of the Shadowhunters, a clandestine order of half-angel warriors who protect humanity from demons, vampires, werewolves, and fairies. Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid) is set to direct, taking over from Scott Stewart (Priest), who left the project in February. Jace will be played by Jamie Campbell Bower from the Twilight saga movies.
